Yuka Saso bags the Japan LPGA Nitori Ladies title, her second win in the JLPGA Tour.

Filipino-Japanese Yuka Saso won by two strokes with a one-under par 71 which gave her the Japan LPGA Nitori Ladies golf tournament title Sunday at the Otaru Country Golf Club in Hokkaido, Japan.

Despite a double bogey on 2 that threatened her, akura Koiwai, the multi-gold medalist in the 2018 Asian Games recovered quickly as she birdied four of the next seven holes.

The title was the second for the 19-year-old Saso in the Japan Tour, and this one gave her a P16.5 million cash reward.

Early this month, the tour rookie won the NEC Karuizawa Tournament.

Saso bogeyed on 15 – her second after 11.

Sakuara, on the other hand, made bogeys on 11, 15 and 16. But a birdie by Sakura Koiwai on 7 trimmed Saso’s lead to two strokes.

Saso, however, calmly sank a par putt on 18 to win the title.
